ASIDE. AND A DANCE

I have been invited to a human thing called a "Ball." It has something to do with dancing, and visiting, and general human foolishness, frivolity,  and mirth.

I am to be accompanied to this event by Ms. Sigourney Weaver. (She agreed that, having dealt with Aliens, accompanying a Bear to a Ball would be "no big thing.") I, of course will be wearing my fur coat and fur pants — naturally,

For more information about the event, click on the "Ball" link (in the first sentence). I'm instructed to tell you that everyone is invited to this gala. Just let the hostess know you're coming to this cyber-event.

See you there!

A wise choice Rob-bear... after her portrayal in Gorillas of the Mist, I don't think she'll have a problem with a bear at all.

® Gaston Studio: I had forgotten, Jane, and Ms. W. didn't remind me. Maybe she'll "go ape" over my invitation.

® BF: Don't take a pass; get a pass, from the hostess. The party runs for 24 hours — as in all night, all day, and all the rest of the night on the 30th. Show up when you feel like it.

® Amanda: I'd love to have a dance with you! But have you ever had an ungainly Bear step on your foot? We might have to take you to the hospital.

S&S: I'm not THAT kind of a dancing Bear. Why don't you come along?

I have two left foot when it comes to dancing and I don't enjoy it at all. I'll pass to.

Jonathan W Astor
was invited to a dance
He decided to attend
for he might get a chance
to dance with lovely ladies
with perfume in their hair
or even fat and ugly ones
he really didn't care

I visited Willow. I gotta admit, I'd rather attend a dance in cyber-space than in reality.

Joe and I always look like two whales trying to beach the other one.

It's wonderful to see you here at the ball, Mr. Bear! I'm wearing my steel-toed woolly socks so it's okay if you step on my foot with those claw feet of yours! Shall we dance?

Hello there, so nice to meet you, and please, please, me too on a dance.
I've never met a bear before, you aren't dangerous, are you?
Oh, and could you please introduce me to Sigourney? she's always been one of my faves.
What a fabulous Ball this Willow throws!

Ms. Weaver! An all time favorite of mine, therefore I am not the least bit jealous! Stafford is somewhere on the other side of the ballroom schmoozing with his harem ... I am so ready for our dance. Glad you like my gown!!!

Bear?! Oh, my!
May I pencil you in for an after-party dance in the garden?
Most interesting to watch you during the evening, and so glad to have my camera as my southern friends would never beleive me otherwise.
Cheers!

® potsoc: Actually, you wouldn't have needed to dance. There were so many fascinating people there, you could have had a whole evening full of wonderful conversation.

® dana: You should have come. You would have enjoyed it. Especially when I gave Westwood the back of my paw for annoying Amanda. (I think it was Westwood. Maybe Southwood? All that I know is that he's supposed to be important and famous.)

® willow: The Divine Ms. Willow, you are indeed. Thank you so much. Sorry, again, about that bit with Mr. Westwood, but he was a man behaving badly.
I wanted to talk with Mr. Ed, but we never did make contact. Perhaps next year? (Us non-humans have to stick together!)

® ~Babs: Glad to dance. And here's Sigourney. Me, dangerous? No! Bears being dangerous is really an over-rated bit of fiction. We're actually scared of humans, unless we're cornered, or have to protect cubs. Then the story changes.

® Kerry, Yoli, AngelMay and Helen: Thank you all. Ms. W and I had a delightful time. Sorry I didn't meet you at the Ball and have a chance to dance. It was SO crowded, I was almost getting claustrophobic.

® Dutchess: Absolutely! I've been dancing on my Bear feet all night, so I'm still ready if you are. I'll try not to step on yours. Feet that is. Don't want you to end up in hospital.

NOW, to try to recover! And get ready for hibernation at the same time.
