Worth a Thousand Words …

Worth a Thousand Words …

Blog Posting Schedule

Odd. Unusual. Irregular.

Normally at least once a week, but that is not guaranteed. Sometimes almost daily, but that is rare.

All totally suitable for a Bear. Especially a Bear, who like most Bears, hibernates several months each year.

Who is this Bear?

* Bear is retired, but not retiring, living in a cave with his loving wife of 45 years. He spends his time reading, writing, walking, photographing, watching birds, playing his banjo, drinking tea with friends, visiting children, playing with grandchildren. And blogging.
* Bear loves comments on his blog, and e-mail notes.
• Bear also thanks Woonie Helen for the portrait, above.

About the Title

A rancher went to town to buy a truck. The basic truck cost $1,000; the accessories (chrome bumper and running boards, etc.) raised the price to $2,000
A while later, the truck salesman came to the rancher, wanting an animal to butcher. The rancher said it would be $500. But there was an extra $75 for the dual horns, an extra $200 for the genuine cowhide upholstery, with additional money for an extra stomach, a product storage compartment, automatic fly swatter, etc. Total: $1,000.
That's how you get chrome on the range, with payback.
