THREE

In Canadian Football, teams get an official "three minute warning" three minutes before the end of the half and the end of the game.

Food from the fridge is ready to eat after a "three minute warming" in the microwave.

Aside from the Holy Trinity, French hens, and deaths (supposedly), what else comes in three?

From all the literary studies I have done it is proven that to repeat things threee times is an attention grabbing effect ('tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow', Richard III, good old Will)

® TW: Accidents in threes, like deaths in threes. When we get to three, do we automatically reset to zero (mentally)? Hmmmm. . . .
Whippets in threes — not an accident, I would say, but could make for a very "interesting" household (totally gone to the dogs?).

® FF: The story is told that WS threw a tantrum in iambic pentameter at the age of three. It was all downhill (or uphill?) from there. Maybe, maybe, maybe.

"Mind the threefold law you should
Three times bad and three times good".

One of the base principle in Wicca (also, Witchcraft and magic in general) is that everything you send out to the universe, whether in thought or in action, will return to you threefold. This is sometimes interpreted as coming back at triple strength or in three instances and sometimes as meaning that it will effect you on three levels: physically, emotionally and spiritually. It's a way to encourage people to do, say and think good things and not to do, say or think bad things; like the Wiccan version of "do unto others" but with repercussions tied in.
