HMMMM; THIS IS INTERESTING

BLINK. BLINK. Eyes open. Bright and sunny day!

Could it be spring? Bright enough for spring. Yet, it doesn't smell like spring. (But then, truth be told, I'm a more senior Bear, and my smeller doesn't function quite as well as it used to.)

I'll stick out my snout and check.

Crawl. Wiggle. Scramble. Slide. To the entrance of my winter den.

Snout out.

AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHRRRRRRR!!!!!!

The sun blinds me!

The sun in the sky blinds me!

The sun reflecting off the snow blinds me!

No wonder I couldn't smell spring; it's still the middle of winter!

Grrrrrrrr!

Snout in.

Scramble. Crawl. Slide. Wiggle.

Blink. Blink. My eyes still work.

Back to bed; back to hibernating.

See you anon.

Grrrrzzzzzzz!

Gosh, I hoped you would stay awake for a while. See you when it's warmer up north.

Always a fine idea to check out of hibernation around this time of the year...even if what the weather tells you is to re-hibernate.

Is that a little like what I've heard are snooze buttons on alarm clocks?

I saw a daffodil's pretty yellow flower yesterday, Bear. You'd better catch a few more winks because it won't be long now! :-)

Well, if you won't even stay long enough for a game of scrabble or a cup of dandelion tea with HONEY. That last thing should entice a Bear.
And you'll even miss my birthday which is the Ides of March.
But I can see you are determined to go back to sleep for a few more weeks and I guess I don't blame you. I would too, if I had the chance.
Take care...until your next peep.

It should just be a nap. Spring is just around the corner. At least that is what I tell myself even though it looks like that here in the east the biggest snowstorm of the year is about to hit us.

Currently wallowing in mud and slush locally. May have to consider this hibernation business next winter.

Stay cozy just a little longer.

I cannot imagine living where you do. But then again, I never imagined living where I presently reside. If you're where you want to be, then that counts for a lot.
