That is why I still have my very old original Olympus..4mp...lol...but I know how to work it!
Oh I hate instruction booklets. Mr FF often can be heard to say ' RTFM' (I'll let you look up what that means)Hope things are better for you, Rob.
® afcg: Good move on your part. This is actually my first digital camera, and I don't think it will take me too long to figure out how it works. Basically, cameras are cameras, with a predictable set of variables.® FF: Sometimes I believe, "when all else fails, check the manual." But not in this case, Julie. This is way too complex for a Bear's simple brain. ;) Still, there are only a few options I want to master. If I go to fully manual, it will be pretty easy. And I'm all right for the shape I'm in. Thanks.
Rob...I'm still learning about my digital camera...and loving all the new things I learn. I have to admit, that the majority of what I have learned hasn't come through the manual...but I do go to it now and then. (I learned how to turn off the little 'beep' sound...which I needed to know....as I was taking photos at a wedding. I didn't want 'beep'...'beep'...'beep' to be heard during the ceremony (it was outdoors...but STILL...:))...people can hear that outside.) So much to learn...but isn't it fun!!!!??? :))) ENJOY to the max. Smiles from Jackie
ROFL...At least you have a book! My son decided to build a computer...and there was very little to go on...and I heard a lot of "MOM, help!" Sad thing is...I don't know what the heck I'm doing either...Sigh...Technology, huh? Bear hugs to you, Rob!!! ~Janine
® TP: Learning is part of the process of life. Glad you're making progress.® S&S: You have a VERY adventuresome son! That is a project I wouldn't tackle. But I'm sure you were supportive, despite your lack of technological skills.
I cannot follow directions. I've learned through the years to use the product first, THEN read the instructions. That's the only way they make sense to me.
® Dana: If that's what works, do it. Sounds like a good plan to me.
