PHRIDAY PHOTOS (On Saturday)

JUST IN TIME FOR HALLOWE'EN!!

Oh the weather outside is frightful . . .

(First there was snow; then came the freezing rain)

The roads and walkways were quite treacherous.

But, inside, the fire is so delightful!

(It's nice to have a gas stove in the basement)

But by time the "Trick or Treaters" were out, the temperature had moderated some, and some of the icy spots were quite a bit better. When I took Sadie pup out for a walk later, things weren't too bad.

But the gas stove was still nice to have, in the meantime

® Natalie: It was lovely! Too bad you weren't here for the enjoyment.

® Question for Natalie: When was the last time you had snow in Newcastle?

I do love snow but not that keen on icy rain as we are just not geared up for it in teh UK - that's why I liek snow as no one can go to work :)

® Tattie Weasle: When the streets turn to ice, there are lots of folk who don't go to work. At least until city crews are out and have put some sand and salt on the icy streets. Either that or skate to work.

I love that gas stove

® Janine: Thanks for the hugs. (Bears like hugs.) Other than that, I'm Bear-ing up reasonably well. Hugs to you, too!

Couldn't tell you, Rob. However, we regularly get snow on Barrington Tops, which are in the upper Hunter Valley nearby. Newcastle is considered the hub of the lower Hunter Valley. Is that close enough? Our temps get down to frosts where I live.xo

® Natalie: Snow on the mountains is close enough. Bundle up!
