HALLELUJAH EVENT (so to speak)!

It is an absolutely glorious day! We went out briefly and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now, I want to share it with you.

(Even got a few pictures before the camera almost froze up.)

Absolutely blue sky in every direction; not a cloud anywhere.

Bright, bright sunshine. Clean, glistening snow!

About -20°C (or -4F) — that's "cool" winter weather here, as opposed to -40°, which is considered "cold."

Absolutely too good a day to be inside all day. (In fact, we may go for another walk after supper.) Winter up here isn't so bad, especially on a day like this. Better this than cloud, fog, and rain.

Glad you got out, though still looks cold to this Aussie. :)

The blue sky is now my desk top, though today may be bright and clear.

Did that pristine snow stay that pristine? I would have thought you'd want jump right in and mess it all up ;) I love beautiful sunny sharp days like this one.

It is amazing what a bit of sunshine can do for our well being, cold or not!

Worth coming out of the den, I agree.

® Natsy: Well, in Aussie terms, bl**dy cold! But then, I don't like it much above about 25C (77F). Perhaps it's just as well we are both where we are. Hope your day will be wonderful.

® BF: Glad to have added something Saskatchewan to your desk top. Interesting that you blue it.

® Lins'lleisio: Shw mae, and thanks for coming by to visit. The picture is actually of the back yard at the house next door, which has recently been sold, and whose new owners have yet to occupy the place.

® Diana and Paul: 'Twas great to be out! But I re-injured my back about a week ago, and yesterday's walk didn't do anything positive for that. Back to strong meds and ice pack in the evening, and this morning. Sigh! But was beautiful outside!

Sadie, how did I miss noticing that you had a poorly back. I do hope you get better soon.

(back trouble makes me nervous. I suffer from it myself and it was the cause of the early demise of my beloved black standard poodle, Dusty. Do take care of yourself.)

® Jean: Bad backs are pain in the posterior, and body parts above it.

® afcg: Glad you're getting snow. A unique experience in some places that'll "neek up on you." (That's pretty bad, I admit.)

Miss Sadie, I somehow missed your post! Your blue skies make it look not quite so cold but I know that looks can be deceiving. Although many northern areas are getting (more) snow today, we have a breezy 73 degrees with puffy clouds... I think that our spring has started.

I hope that the ice packs and meds are helping your back... take care, my sweet.

Bises,
Genie

I think you need more sunshine to get your batteries going. Come see what a beach day looked like today in California.

With all that reflecting snow you'll need sunscreen! Glad you have clear skies and a great opportunity to get outdoors. We tend to get a lot of rain; still, we get out with our rain gear and try to remain active and busy.

Your winters are way too cold for most folks.
