SNOW?
I do believe I heard that; and saw it too
(earlier this morning).
As did Her Ladyship, Miss Sadie.
(earlier this morning).
As did Her Ladyship, Miss Sadie.
'Tis that time of year all right.
Temperature -1°C (30F).
Wind chill -8°C (18F)
Temperature -1°C (30F).
Wind chill -8°C (18F)
Ho. Ho. Ho?
By supper time it was getting seriously dark and dismal.
Not only that,
front steps were covered,
same with the front sidewalks,
even the back yard.
And the streets were getting icy.
Of course, that didn't stop me
from going to our annual Ward meeting
to hear what the Mayor and Ward Councilor had to say.
Great turnout (as always) even on a bad night.
Included some semi-useful information.
At bedtime,
-1°C (30F)
with the wind chill
-8C (about 18F).
Tomorrow?
We'll see what its like when it gets here.

Ahhhh....Mz. Sadie and snowflakes!
Lovely, Rob....
bah humbug
Hi Rob!
I'm visiting from Jackie's blog "Teachers Pet". I thought I would add you to my list of Canadian friends!
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!! Love Di ♥
Oh that's TOO cold for me! Miss Sadie looks just like my Nina!
® TP: Glad your dropped by. A little different from your area, I would think.
® Suzie: Thanks for dropping by. But what's this "bah humbug" stuff? Don't you mean, "Winter! Yes!!"
Well, perhaps not.
® Diana: And thank you for coming over. You know what this is all about. Though, I hear it's going to 9C by the weekend, and this will all melt by Hallowe'en. Yes, I know; promises, promises.
® Diva: Once you get used to it, you'll enjoy it. Really! Nothing that a biker Diva can't handle. Trust me, Teri.
Looks colder than a mother-in-law's kiss. Enjoy. How does Sadie like the snow?
Oooh snow! I trust you know how to deal with snow - unlike us Brits. So life won't grind to a halt and it won't have come as a complete surprise... Lovely pictures.
Hi Rob Bear - snow - we have had frost - it took my fuchias - I missed to get them under cover - Miss Sadie looks somewhat bemused - my dog Bluey - hates rain - but goes crazy in the snow -- Bye for now
Snow already ??!! Poor you. I bet Sadie loves it, though. She's looking beautiful.
Bear has snow.! bet Sadie loves playing in it too, ooh, wrap up warm Bear.
® Blog Fodder: My mother-in-law's kiss wasn't cold at all!
Sadie, for some reason, doesn't want to stay out as long as before.
® Mags: Yeah, snow is as common as sparrows around here. I've never seen a winter without it. We are required, by law, to shovel the sidewalks in front of our houses. In a normal winter, the fallen snow, plus what I pile up from shovelling, will usually reach almost six feet high.
And we'll get a week of two of temperatures around -40°C (which is, strangely, -40°F).
® Jane: Thanks for coming all the way from Shropshire. We had frost over a months ago. And then the weather got nice, and things started to grow again.
I'm probably going into hibernation in a day or two.
Miss Sadie is always "interested" in snow. But the cold and ice can be a bit hard on her paws, until they're winterized (like snow tires).
® Jean: We routinely get our first snow of the season around Hallowe'en. Sadie, like most Poodles, is pretty tough — as you know.
Black on white makes a pretty picture, indeed. Thanks.
® Camilla: Actually, instead of warming up, I go into hibernation. I've just put up a post about that.
Oh no, you've got that white stuff again. Be careful out there, Rob.
® FF/K: We've had more since. So far, no problems.
