Shared experience is what often kindles important thoughts in others.
It is, indeed, about how Jesus lived, what he did, who he was. I think that's really crucial.
I hope the conversation continues to be useful to you.Rob-bearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00171692478879522588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1780769436411348454.post-6882946034338066442011-07-26T04:59:08.642-06:002011-07-26T04:59:08.642-06:00I've been muddling this Jesus dying for our si...I've been muddling this Jesus dying for our sins thing around in my head and heart for about 25 years. While making the bed one Sunday morning, it occured to me that He Didn't Have to die, He just did (die that is). It was the way the story played out. Sure, if as you say, the politics of the day had been different, Barabbas hadn't have been chosen, the story would have ended up differently.
It was never about how Jesus died, it was all about how he lived. We've been focusing on the wrong thing for a very long time. (my conclusion).
Love this conversation Rob-Bear...in today's world, religion/church/spirituality is a very confusing one.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00728645243327906117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1780769436411348454.post-51377125082897809172011-07-20T08:55:37.971-06:002011-07-20T08:55:37.971-06:00I can't wait to hear where you go with this.I can't wait to hear where you go with this.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13178290697351352495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1780769436411348454.post-28768439245257264272011-07-19T22:39:39.243-06:002011-07-19T22:39:39.243-06:00® ALW: Thanks for sharing.
