(That's a great word, BTW: "underwhelmed"; so descriptive of the actions of our political leaders, in most cases.)<br /><br />®Janine: You're quoting Lord Acton, of Britain. His comment was "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely"; it is in a letter dated 1887 to a British Anglican Bishop. Acton was Roman Catholic, but opposed the concept of papal infallibility and was troubled by the power of both pope and king (which was the context of that part of the letter). Unfortunately, his insight is true, in business, politics, and many other spheres of human endeavour.
